The Sony Betacam SX BCT-124SXLA is a professional large-format digital video cassette designed for broadcast recording, playback, editing and archiving on compatible Betacam SX equipment. With a rated playing time of 124 minutes, it provides extended recording capacity for television production, news gathering, studio operations and other professional video workflows.
Betacam SX is a digital component video recording format developed for professional broadcasting. Sony's specialised tape construction features a strengthened base film for improved durability, fine magnetic particles for high signal output, and a carefully engineered tape surface designed to support reliable recording performance and long video-head life.
The BCT-124SXLA contains approximately 456 metres of magnetic tape and measures 12.65 mm in width. Its large cassette housing accommodates a longer tape length than the compact Betacam SX cassette formats, making it suitable for extended recording sessions and applications where changing tapes less frequently is desirable.
